  16. New capabilities in EZ-Forms rev C:
  17. - Auto numbering in master forms with the CtrlN key sequence.
  18.   See the doc for how to set up auto numbering fields.
  19. - Use of Alt F1-F6 to allow character drawing in the edit mode.
  20. - Expanded printer installation menu in EZ-INSTAL.  EZ-FORMS can
  21.   now be configured to almost any printer, not just those on the
  22.   menu!
  23. - Several additional forms have been included.  See the doc for
  24.   a listing.
  25. - We now offer a custom forms design service.  If you want us to
  26.   convert  your forms to a EZ-FORMS format,  then complete a copy
  27.   of FORMORD.FRM for each form you want converted.

  29. New capabilities in EZ-Forms rev C*:
  30. - Use of Alt F1-F10 and Ctrl F1 to provide COMPLETELY solid
  31.   forms.  This includes all intersections and connections.  The
  32.   printer portion EZINSTAL has been expanded to give you access
  33.   to these additional characters when printing.
  34. - The maximum number of copies you can print at one time has been
  35.   increased.  This was requested by a registered user.  I will
  36.   try to include any additional capability that you request!
  37. - Better on line help.
  38. - Additional error checking on borders when drawing in the editor.
  39. - This version corrects two minor bugs.  First, there was a
  40.   conflict between using auto numbering and protected fields.
  41.   Second, the rename option in the utilities section had trouble
  42.   when you tried to rename a form the same name as one that
  43.   already existed.  Both of these bugs have been fixed.

  45. New capabilities in EZ-Forms rev C.20:
  46. - Easier to track rev numbering scheme.  Simply count the number
  47.   of stars and add that after the major revision letter.  If I
  48.   have a very  minor bug fix or enhancement I will change the
  49.   last digit -- example: C.21 for next very minor update.  For
  50.   the bulletin boards I will adopt the naming convention of
  51.   EZFRMC20.arc, EZFRMC21.arc, EZFRMD10.arc, etc.
  52. - Two printer enhancement programs are now included on disk #2
  53.   when you register.  One downloads the IBM Graphics Character
  54.   set into the FX-80 allowing fast character graphics under
  55.   EZ-Forms.  The second program is a memory resident program
  56.   to translate IBM character graphics into graphics for the
  57.   Epson MX and FX series of printers.  Both of these programs
  58.   give you much nicer versions of printed forms if you have one
  59.   of these printers.
  60. - Insert in the edit mode now also changes the to cursor to a full
  61.   height block cursor, making it easier to tell what mode you are
  62.   in (insert or overwrite).
  63. - When creating a new master form you can now retain the default
  64.   form name and not have to type it in again.
  65. - All directories now give you the default drive at the top of
  66.   the screen.
  67. - Speeded up operation of the editor thru improved use of arrays.
  68. - Esc can now be used to exit from help menus with several pages.
  69. - Easier to use block operations.  You can now mark as small as a
  70.   single character in the editor.  Blocks stay marked during copy
  71.   and move operations allowing easier duplication of areas.
  72. - Error checking has been added for the overlay file.  If EZ.000
  73.   doesn't exist in the default directory and drive then EZ-Forms
  74.   will ask you for the correct path to find it when first loaded.
  75.   EZ.000 must still remain but it can now be easily found if it
  76.   is on another drive or directory.
  77. - More straight forward date and time feed into the editor.
  78.   EZ-Forms will now feed whatever portion that can be into your
  79.   form.
  80. - Added more information when you are printing.  EZ-Forms will
  81.   now give you the copy number it is printing.
  82. - Expanded install options.  EZINSTAL now allows you to disable
  83.   all beeps within EZ-Forms.  Must use MISC option in EZINSTAL.
  84. - Fixed a minor bug -- If you typed characters inside of a marked
  85.   block, you got the normal background color NOT the block color.

  87. New capabilities in EZ-Forms rev C.21:
  88. - Full support for the HP LaserJet printer.
  89. - Full support for all Epson series printers.  EpsGraph on disk
  90.   #2 provides the capability to draw solid lines, with several
  91.   options for print quality.  EpsGraph is a memory resident
  92.   character graphics to Epson graphics translator.  It can also
  93.   be used with your other software for emulating the IBM Graphics
  94.   printer.

  96. Included in this package are two definition files, COLOR.CNF and
  97. BW.CNF.  If you have either a color monitor or a "green  screen"
  98. attached to a color card, then copy the appropriate file to
  99. EZ-FORMS.CNF to get a head start on installing the colors.
  100. EZ-Forms automatically looks for this file when you run it. If it
  101. doesn't exist then EZ-INSTAL will automatically create it.  NOTE:
  102. If you have an old EZ-FORMS.CNF file, you will have to use
  103. EZINSTAL to reinstall the printer type.

  105. EZ-FORMS now has it's own section on the Yellow Rose bulletin
  106. board (713-326-2999).  An area has been set aside to carry the
  107. latest version of EZ-FORMS and act as a focal point for users to
  108. swap forms.  I will keep the latest version of EZ-FORMS on this
  109. board along with additional forms.  Check out this board, it is
  110. one of the best one in Houston.

  112. The latest version of EZ-Forms is also available on the General
  113. Electric Network for Information Exchange (GEnie) in area 3,
  114. applications.  I will continue to upload EZ-Forms to GEnie as
  115. new versions become available.  GEnie has file areas for the
  116. different PCs and has been VERY good about posting updated versions
  117. of EZ-Forms.  GEnie can be accessed throughout the country at
  118. local numbers ($5 per hour).  The current number for GEnie
  119. information is 1-800-638-9636, ext. 21.

  121. If you find any bugs in EZ-Forms please take the  time to fill
  122. out the bug report form and mail it to me.   I will try  to
  123. fix any bugs as quickly as possible.  The first 5 users who
  124. report each bug will receive the fixed version of EZ-Forms as
  125. soon as I can correct the bug.  If you are a registered user, I
  126. will mail out both diskettes of the two disk set.  Otherwise,
  127. you will receive only diskette number one (the shareware version).

  130. upload it to your local bulletin boards.  Any suggestions for
  131. improving EZ-Forms would be very much appreciated.
